Enjoy a taste of Matakana's wine heritage with a $50 gift voucher to Heron's Flight. Established in 1987, this family-owned vineyard is home to three generations and is dedicated to producing distinctive wines from Italian grape varieties.

Heron's Flight is New Zealand's only winery exclusively growing and producing the Italian varieties Sangiovese and Dolcetto, with wines crafted onsite at their vineyard and tasting room. Visitors can enjoy their unique range, including Dolcetto rosato and red wines, three styles of Sangiovese, and a special amphora-aged wine made in a 500L clay vessel.

Open daily from 11am–5pm, the Heron's Flight Tasting Room offers the perfect opportunity to relax, share stories, and experience the passion, history, and flavours of Matakana wine country.
